劳动卫生与环境卫生学系
Department of Occupational and Environmental Health
劳动卫生学教研室和环境卫生学教研室始建于1988年，是我校yh533388银河组建最早的两个学科。1999年合并为劳动卫生与环境卫生学教研室，2006年更名为劳动卫生与环境卫生学系，同年获得劳动卫生与环境卫生学硕士学位授予权；2007年被列入北京市重点建设学科；2011年获得劳动卫生与环境卫生学博士学位授予权。经过多年不懈的努力、建设和发展，在yh533388银河、人才培养、科学研究和实验室建设等方面都有了长足进展，已经成为学术梯队合理、研究方向稳定、特色突出、能培养高素质硕士和博士研究生的学科点。
一、队伍建设
本学系目前有教授3名、副教授4名和讲师6名。近年来，在劳动卫生学专家田琳教授的带领下，初步形成了一支高学历、创新能力强的教学科研团队。本团队中有北京市优秀人才3人，北京市青年拔尖人才2人，北京市中青年骨干教师2人。学系主任为田琳教授，副主任为牛丕业教授。

二、科学研究
在长期的教学科研工作中，形成了三个相对稳定、特色突出的主要研究方向：1.粉尘致纤维化及肺癌机制；2.环境与神经退行性疾病；3.苯血液毒性的表遗传机制。本学科近五年先后承担国家自然科学基金重大研究计划培育项目、面上项目和青年项目、北京市自然科学基金面上和青年项目、北京市教育委员会科技计划重点项目和面上项目、教育部博士点基金及北京市人才项目等30余项，资助金额500多万元；在国际、国内期刊发表科研论文60余篇，其中SCI收录论文40多篇。牛丕业副教授参与的课题“神经毒化学物在职业暴露工人中引起的神经功能改变、毒作用机制及干预”被评为2016年度山西省科学技术奖（自然科学类）一等奖，参与的其它两项课题被评为中华预防医学会科学技术二等奖。
三、教学工作
本学科目前承担着我校预防医学专业五年制《职业卫生与职业医学》、《环境卫生学》理论课和实验课教学、《专业外语》教学；临床医学专业七年制、五年制等专业的《预防医学》、《环境与健康》教学；留学生的《预防医学》教学；开设了研究生的选修课程《现代环境卫生学》和《高级劳动卫生学》等课程。
本学科主编、副主编、参编了教材36部，其中田琳教授副主编了普通高等教育“十二五”和“十一五”国家级规划教材《职业卫生与职业医学》，参编了卫生部规划教材《职业卫生与职业医学》第7版和第6版。《职业卫生与职业医学》为校级精品课程和网络建设课程，《环境卫生学》为校级网络课程，2012年被评为首都医科大学优秀教学团队《劳动卫生与环境卫生教学团队》。共获批校级教改课题10余项，学生创新实践项目和“第二课堂项目”30余项，发表教学论文30余篇。本学科青年教师在yh533388银河组织的青年教师教学基本功比赛中获得个人二等奖5人次，团体一等奖1次。
四、人才培养
本学科为硕士和博士学位授权点，现有博士生导师3名，硕士生导4名。
五、对外交流
本学系积极选派优秀教师出国留学，奥地利大学，美国肯塔基大学等。
六、学科特色
本专业理论课的教学具有鲜明的特色。本学科与北京市朝阳医院职业病科和煤炭部职业病研究所建立合作关系，为预防专业本科生专业实习和参加社会实践打下良好基础。
Department of Occupational and Environmental Health
Health and environment are tightly entwined. Contamination and degradation of the environment by both human activity and natural processes can impact health directly and through complex interrelationships with other living organisms and the ecosystems on which all life depends. Occupational and environmental health is a multidisciplinary field concerned with identifying occupational and environmental factors that influence health and developing tools for sustaining and environment that promotes health. Occupational and environmental health scientists in academia, government, and industry conduct research into the relationship of environmental agents found in air, water, soil, and food, such as silica, manganese, benzene, formaldehyde, mercury, pesticides, lead, and chemicals found in plastic. These chemicals can lead to cancer, neurologic disorders, and other health conditions. Occupational and environmental health scientists also work for public health agencies and investigate problems such as environmental hazards in our air and drinking water.
The Department of Occupational and Environmental Health of Capital Medical University was founded in 1988. The department was authorized by National Education Council to offer master degrees in 2006 and doctor degree in 2011 in the programs of Occupational and Environmental Health. In 2007, Occupational and Environmental Health was also approved as one of the leading developing subjects in Beijing.
At present there are 11 faculty members in the department, including 2 professor, 2 associate professors, and 7 lecturers. In recent years, under the leadership of Professor Tian Lin, a highly educated and innovative teaching and research team has been formed. Among the department, there are 3 fellows of Beijing Outstanding Talents, 2 fellows of Beijing Youth Notch and 2 talents of Beijing Youth and Middle-aged Outstanding Teachers. The dean of the department is Professor Tian Lin, and vice director is Associate Professor Niu Piye.
Teaching
We provide excellent teaching in relation to undergraduate, postgraduate and professional development programs of Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine, Environment and Health, Preventive Medicine.
The department offers divers college programs including five-year, seven-year undergraduate programs and graduate programs with over 800 credit hours every year. The courses include Advanced Occupational Health, Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine, Modern Environmental Hygiene, Environmental Hygiene, Preventive Medicine, Environment and Health, Specialized English, etc. The department has published 36 textbooks. Among them, "Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine" are "Twelve-Five" and "Eleven-Five" national planning textbooks and other two textbooks are the 6th and 7th Ministry of Health Planning materials", which are both edited by Professor Tian Lin. The course "Occupational Health and Occupational Medicine" is honored with the school-level high-quality courses and network construction courses, and "Environmental health" is the school-level network curriculum. The team was prized as the excellent teaching team in Capital Medical University in 2012. In the Teaching Basic Skills competitionorganized by the college, 5 of the young teachers in the department have got second Personal Prize, and the team won the first Group Prize.
Research
The department has undertaken many research projects, including more than 30 grants from the National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC) and other foundations. The total research fund has been more than 5 million RMB in past 5 years. To date, the department has made remarkable achievement in many research fields, including 1) Silica，pneumoconiosis and cancer; 2) Epigenetic mechanisms of benzene hematotoxicity; 3) Environmental factor and neurodegeneration. In past five years, the department has published more than 60 research papers, including more than 40 papers cited by SCI. The project that Associate Professor Niu piye participated in was named the first prize of Shanxi Science and Technology Award (Natural Science category) in 2016, and the other two subjects were named the second prize of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association.
